Great care at no cost to you!

When you use the Fund's Center of Excellence (COE) through Mount Sinai Health System, you get free care for:

  • Inpatient hip or knee joint replacement, and
  • Inpatient or outpatient weight loss (bariatric) surgery.
Beginning July 1, 2023:
  • Members in New York Plans 100 and 105:
    If you don't use the COE, the Plan only pays 50% for these surgeries (click here to learn more)
  • Members in Food Service Plan 376 (PPO medical only):
    If you live in a zip code within 50 miles' driving distance of a COE facility and DON'T use the COE, the Plan only pays 50% for these surgeries
