COBRA Subsidy Expiration Notice
If you enrolled for the 100% COBRA Subsidy, you’ll get a packet in the mail with payment information should you wish to continue COBRA. Below is a sample of the packet:
If you haven’t been called back to work yet, you have other options to keep your insurance. Read below for more details.
Option 1: Enroll for Medicaid or Medicare
Option 2: Sign up for Marketplace coverage
New, lower costs on Marketplace coverage.
You may be able to get more savings and lower costs on Marketplace health insurance coverage due to the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021. Under the new law:
- More people than ever before qualify for help paying for health coverage, even those who weren’t eligible in the past.
- Most people currently enrolled in a Marketplace plan may qualify for more tax credits.
- Health insurance premiums after these new savings will go down.
For more information, visit healthcare.gov/more-savings or call (800) 318-2596.
Option 3: Enroll for health insurance through your spouse’s plan (if applicable)
For questions, have your spouse reach out to their Human Resources representative.
Option 4: Continue your Fund COBRA coverage with a monthly payment
To find out how much you’ll pay, review the packet you received in the mail or call the COBRA Subsidy phone line: (855) 321-4373.
If your plan allows for self-pay, you may be eligible to continue Fund coverage by making a self-payment.
