The UNITE HERE HEALTH - Health Center is a medical practice just for you – eligible Local 1 and 450 union members and your adult dependents. Located in the same building as your Fund and union offices, the Health Center gives you exclusive access to primary care, convenient care, and pharmacy services. All services and prescriptions are FREE at the Health Center!
Our Nurse Practitioners can prescribe medication, treat illness, order labs, and perform wellness exams. Walk-ins are accepted but scheduling an appointment is recommended.
You and your dependents can fill prescriptions from any provider at the Health Center pharmacy for FREE. We offer 90-day supplies and automatic refills (for eligible prescriptions) of your family’s medications— to save you extra trips.
Note: Free parking is NOT offered for prescription pickup or pharmacy visits.
If lab work is needed as part of your exam, it is done onsite for FREE.
Veronica has been a Nurse Practitioner at the Chicago Health Center since 2020. Veronica is bilingual in English and Spanish. She believes in delivering high-quality, safe, cost-effective care and can treat both acute illnesses and chronic conditions like diabetes and high blood pressure. Veronica values teamwork and works closely with her co-workers, UHH Health Promoters and the pharmacy staff to give our members comprehensive and coordinated care. She can also refer members who need advanced care to specialists. Veronica received her Masters of Science in Nursing from Olivet Nazarene University and is a Board Certified Nurse Practitioner in Family Practice.
Lydia has been a practicing pharmacist for 14 years and has been at the Chicago Health Center since it opened in 2019. Lydia received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from University of Illinois at Chicago. Lydia loves the strong sense of community at the Health Center and enjoys working closely with the primary care team and Health Promoters to provide our members personalized support and education. As a pharmacist, she helps our members with all medication and vaccination needs to get the best health outcomes. Lydia is committed to maintaining ongoing relationships with members to promote wellness. She is passionate about the work that UHH does and is proud to be part of a team that helps members receive the best care.
